Nest with Three Eggs (3) [SOLD]
A speckled chartreuse green glaze leads us to a tiny bird’s nest. The intertwining “twigs” cradle three tiny turquoise eggs.
Bird & Nest Tile (6) [SOLD]
A bird warily approaches a nest with three turquoise eggs… its own? Or could this bird be a marauder, or simply curious? The tile is left without a shiny top glaze in order to elicit the feel of a woodcut image.
This tile is press-molded by hand and each one rendering “pulled” from the plaster mold is adjusted with additional details and then hand-colored in under-glazes making it unique.
Nest With Three Eggs (4)
This little nest bowl uses incising, nickel oxide “splatter” and rounded strands to create the illusion of a rustic bird’s nest. The strands cradle three tiny turquoise eggs, whose color is echoed in the washes of glaze the encircle the bowl.
