Clouds with "Bubbles"
Inspired by an O’Keeffe charcoal drawing, this motif is light, airy and suggestive of land and effervescent waters encircled by clouds.
Cloud Patterns 1
O’Keeffe captured the never-ending variation of cloud patterns in her work. This piece attempts to do the same in low-relief, stylized cloud formations.
Clouds (1)
O’Keeffe’s iconic cloud paintings gave rise to this tiny bowl filled with low-relief cloud patterns.
Datura/Jimson Blossom
Famous for her (O’Keeffe’s) up-close paintings of flowers, this bowl renders a single datura or jimson blossom in low relief.
Lake with Clouds & Crows 2 [SOLD]
The low-relief rendering of this scene of a lake, shoreline and surrounding mountains almost seems like the unfolding of a flower. Three crows fly overhead as the scene is encircled by bright clouds.
Lawrence Tree (2)
Under the canopy of a large tree, the night sky is alive with stars. The coral-colored branches swirl. The “canopy” and branches are rendered in shiny glazes, contrasting with the blue and turquoise sky areas, which are finished in matte underglaze colors punctuated with semi-gloss “stars.”
Clouds (2)
O’Keeffe’s iconic cloud paintings gave rise to a second tiny bowl filled with low-relief cloud patterns which also adorn the exterior.
